Early 19th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty Famille Jaune pair of tall baluster vases of circular form, the everted scalloped rim with scrolling foliate and flower head motif in orange and green glaze against white ground raised over tapering neck with gilt pairs of opposing foo dogs and dragons on shoulder, all cast in high relief, the body with scrolls, flowers, foliate, avian, geometric shapes and mandarin writing motif, in red, pink, white, green and amber glazes, all against yellow ground, circa 1820.
