19th Century pair of porcelain amphora urns after the Greek red figure vases of the fifth century B.C. This particular interpretation incorporates a black glazed body approximating the black glazed Campanian ware produced during the Classical and Hellenistic periods of Ancient Greece. The lip with applied gilt egg and arrow relief against white ground supported by black glazed body depicting colourful figural scenes from Greek mythology flanked with gilt handles terminating on white ground foot with applied gilt egg and arrow relief, circa 1850.
