19th Century oil on canvas by the English landscape painter Sidney Richard Percy (1821 – 1886). A tranquil rural scene featuring a man, his dog, and sheep grazing contentedly is set within the canvas’s original gilded frame which is enhanced by a pale grey-green velvet interior border. Percy exhibited at the Royal Academy, the British Institution, and the Suffolk Street Gallery of the Society of British Artists.
