Late 18th Century pair of tub library armchairs, of carved Durmast Oak, in the Hepplewhite style. This fine pair of Georgian library chairs upholstered in a tanned leather hide are accented with brass nailhead trims. The moulded show-wood frames are of good rich color and patination with gently curving front legs terminating on simple feet. The deeply shaped backs are flanked by gently curved arms. Stamped AF.
