19th Century marble plinth with brass mounts in the form of a classical column. The solid cylindrical barrel, in beige, white and ocher coloured marble, rests on a square base. The column is surrounded by a thick bronze ring complete with naturalistic detailing. The top is adorned with a capital in bronze with acanthus leaves and surmounted by a rotating square marble plate.
