Early 19th Century set of six English Regency glass wine rinsers/coolers featuring a cut glass design around the base and two spouts on either side of the rim. c. 1820.
A wine rinser would be filled with cold water or water with ice and then used to cleanse the glasses between courses and/or types of wines. Wine rinsers may also be referred to as coolers due to their ability to achieve both functions. The stem of the glass is then placed on the spout and turned in the water to cleanse the rim.
