20th-century brass table lamp in the Hollywood Regency style, in the manner of Maison Charles, Paris. The finely modelled and cast eagle, with textured outstretched wings, is poised for flight on a spherical orb. It may be earlier than the lamp, possibly late 19th century. The base is a square plinth with a faux-bois finish on a stepped brass foot. A slender stem rises to a single bulb fitting, topped by a rectangular bouillotte-style shade in black with a gilt interior and gilt edge trim.
