A highly decorative late 19th-century Venetian glass mirror with reverse etched patterning and detailed hand-painted enamelled blue glass panels. The central bevelled plate within the decorative frame beneath an exuberant scrolled crest with a central painted and enamelled blue glass cartouche. The enamelled blue glass section is surrounded by a bevelled mirror plate featuring floral, scrolled, swirled, and cut patterned glass.

The cosmopolitan tastes of the increasing number of European travellers created what could be termed a pan-European style equally at home in London, Paris or Rome.
