19th Century George II Irish walnut and parcel gilt overmantel mirror, with intricately carved giltwood details. The mirror features with egg and dart borders and terminates in a patera on the lower corners. The sides are each flanked with an S scroll holding floral-carved drapes and the lower edge holds a central gilded shell decoration and is bordered with giltwood C scrolls. A finely carved eagle sits prominently between a swan’s-neck pediment at the top of the mirror.
