This 18th-century demilune table, with a painted top and gilt base, is attributed to esteemed Irish designer William Moore, who opened his Dublin workshop in 1782. Full of Neoclassical details, from the portrait medallions and sunflower patera on the painted top, to the carved frieze and applied rosettes on the tapering legs, this table exemplifies Moore’s unique takes on Classical influences. The top was repainted in 1860.
