Early 19th Century Regency monumental pair of bookcases of the Neoclassical taste in the manner of Robert Adam. Both with a pointed arched architectural pediment above a flat frieze raised over open adjustable shelving. Flanked by ionic columns, carved after the ancient Greek Erechtheion columns from the Temple of Athena on the Acropolis. The cupboard door with a beautiful centred carving of a paterae rose with palmette in the corners. The bookshelf raised on a calvetto and lotus carved plinth base.
