18th Century George II Giltwood Center Table with Oyster Veneered Parquetry Top. The table incorporates an earlier parquetry top of olive wood, cocus wood, and kingwood, inlaid in rosettes and stars and bordered by mosaic inlay and a quarter-round crossbanding edge. The gilt cabriole legs carved with acanthus leaves and terminating in scroll feet. Similar re-use of earlier wood panels can be found in cabinets by the 18th-century London firm Ince and Mayhew for Croome Court.
