19th Century bronze sculpture ‘The Allegory of Fortune’. She is standing on a wheel while holding a cornucopia filled with jewelry and coins. A flowing cloth graces her hips. The cylindrical base is adorned with a frieze of putti representing the arts. Signed on the upper part of the base: “Fulconis”. Louis-Guillaume Fulconis (1818-1873) is a French sculptor who was active in the 19th century. Modeled after Jean de Bologne (Giambologna), a French sculptor who was born in 1524 and died in Florence in 1608.
