He can be identified as the hunt master, or “Master of Foxhounds” (MFH) due to his distinct bright red coat, or “pink,” white scarf, and black hat. The figure holds a horn and is turned towards a pack of running hounds, suggesting the start of what is likely a fox hunt. The painting is displayed in an intricate giltwood frame.
