Late 19th Century paper tray with lid in the Oriental style. The box is made from a light wood which has been hand painted. It has a bright green background with gold highlights and edging. The painted scene applied to the lid depicts a man fishing with symbolism typical of the time including flowers, trees and bridges. Circa 1890.
