19th Century Grand Tour bronze figurine of Polyhymnia daughter of Zeus, after the antique, standing at full-length, resting against a pile of stacked stones. She wears a long dress, and her hair tied up in a wreath of flowers. The statue sits on a square marble base.
After a copy in The Louvre which is reputed to have been given to Queen Victoria by Prince Albert, for her birthday, 24th May 1847.
