19th Century white painted metal wirework plant stand featuring galleried basket top and scrolled feet. Pieces such as this were favoured in Victorian garden rooms and conservatories to display flowering pot plants. Traditionally produced in different gauges of wire woven in traditional decorative patterns for a sturdy but lightweight jardiniere stand; usually finished in white paint.
