18th Century George II mahogany secretaire bookcase attributed to Giles Grendy (1693-1780). Featuring a cornice with egg and dart and dentil mouldings, above a pair of doors with cartouche shaped bevelled glass panels, outlined with conforming egg and dart carving, and enclosing two adjustable shelves. The acanthus carved waist moulding with a fall front writing drawer below, revelling a fitted interior, the lower part with a pair of fielded panel doors, enclosing an adjustable shelf, on ogee bracket feet.
