Late 18th Century pair of bon bon jars. Probably Dublin or Cork made. This type of bon bon jar or bon bon glass was often very similar in design to celery glasses of the same period, however bon bon jars always had a lid. These fine examples display the typical alternate prism, pillar flute and large hollow facet cutting. Typical of a bon bon jar of this period it stands firm on a square pressed base.
