18th Century Irish George II giltwood pier mirror. The period plate with re-entrant top corners, carved and pierced border with foliate and trailing bellhusk motif supporting crest with pierced broken swan neck, scrolled rockwork pediment with flowerhead terminals flanking centralised acanthus leaf surmounted with carved basket with plum, pea pod, acorn leaf and foliate motif. The apron with central stylised inverted scallop shell on a rockwork ground with outset scrolls and acanthus leaf, circa 1740.
